In this blog post, we’ll take a look at what Bella Hadid does to keep her body fit, slim and toned enough to make it as a top model! After all, she has to look great to work for companies like Calvin Klein and, of course, Victoria’s Secret.
Although Bella has amazing genetics, her body looks so good because she takes such good care of it. She eats well and exercises regularly, as you’ll find out :)
Bella works with two personal trainers, Rob Piela (who also trains Bella’s sister and fellow model, Gigi) and Joe Holder. Both help her stay at her ideal weight and keep her body looking slim but toned.
Here’s what to take away from Bella’s workout routines.
With two trainers, this shouldn’t be a surprise! Bella works out a lot (and you can obviously tell!). She will often train for two-three hours at a time, and her workouts aren’t light either. She normally does the following:
When Bella is preparing for a fashion show, she’ll often workout more than this, sometimes for even more than three hours per session.
While that does sound extreme for the average person, keeping in shape is part of Bella’s job. Bella trains under the guidance of personal trainers and professionals, who would adjust her training plan specifically to her.
2. CARDIO – SHE IS A HUGE FAN OF BOXING
Bella tries to keep her workouts interesting. This is why she likes boxing. It’s an upbeat way to stay moving and you never quite know what to expect.
She also says that boxing is the reason she has nicely defined arms and abs. Boxing forces you to use these muscles in a natural way, creating perfect definition over time.
I also recommend boxing. It’s a great way to burn calories, tone up your arms and abs without bulking, and it engages muscles all throughout your body.
To work out her lower body and abs, Bella will use weights. Typically, she performs moves like squats and donkey kicks with weights. This works great for Bella. For her naturally slim ectomorph body type, she needs weights to create some definition.
However, just remember that mesomorph and endomorph body types might respond differently to weight lifting. Instead of creating a long, lean look, it might give you more muscle mass than you want.

Gigi also loves boxing, and so the two of them will box one-on-one sometimes. Bella said she admires how tough Gigi is.
Your takeaway? Try working out with a friend! It can be great motivation, and it can give you a greater respect for the other person. Plus, it makes the workout way more fun!
For models, it seems like every season is bikini season! But, really, Bella does claim to have some downtime. Even if it is more relaxing for her, she still sticks to a workout plan. Her trainer Joe Holder says that he recommends everybody keeps up a routine, even when they don’t feel like it.
Holder says that even short, 15-minute workouts are better than no workouts, especially during downtime. He says that interval training can be a good option for people who are short for time. Here’s a great HIIT workout that won’t cause bulkiness!
Bella also works with a nutritionist, Dr. Passler, to make sure her diet is on track. She works out a lot, so she makes sure that she is getting all of the macro and micronutrients she needs.
Since Bella works out so much, she needs to make sure she eats enough food. However, she still doesn’t eat tons of junk food. Instead, she tries to make sure she’s eating a balanced diet that’s full of protein.
Dr. Passler has all of his celebrity clients eat lots of protein, moderate fat, and lots of starchy vegetables to help them stay full.

Bella doesn’t eat perfectly all the time. She understands that eating treats (she’s been known to eat a donut here and there) is part of enjoying life.
When Bella isn’t prepping for a show, she says she still likes to eat healthy food, but this is when she is more likely to order a pizza or donuts.
Bella wants to look good and feel good all the time. She’s focused on health every day of the year, not just when she’s preparing for a shoot or to walk down the catwalk.
Because of this, she doesn’t get freaked out if she loses or gains some weight. In fact, Bella has said that she feels like she lost too much weight at one point, even saying her butt was too small! Even celebrities like Bella Hadid have before and after stories!
This is good for us to keep in mind. As women, it is easy for our weight to go up or down and it’s normal for your weight to fluctuate. Even if you’re trying to tone up to look great in that perfect bikini, remember to look at the big picture! Health is something you want for life.
Everybody needs water, but this is especially important if you’re working out a lot. Water helps your muscles work properly, keeps your skin looking bright, and helps you feel fuller for longer.
