
Who doesn’t love chocolate cake?! Even better when it’s a healthy version :) Here is a healthy chocolate cake with frosting.
Ingredients
- 3 ripe bananas
- 12 fresh dates
- 3 eggs (or vegan substitute)
- 1/2 cup almond meal
- 2 scoops protein powder
- 3 tbsp cacao powder
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 3 tbsp coconut oil
Ingredients (frosting)
- 1 can coconut cream
- 3 tbsp cacao powder
- 1 tbsp coconut sugar
Method
- Preheat oven to 180C / 350F.
- Combine all cake ingredients in a food processor and blend well (so easy!).
- Pour into a lined baking tin. Bake for 30 minutes or until completely cooked.
- To make frosting, pour coconut cream into a container and refrigerate overnight.
- Scoop off the thick cream from the top, add cacao and coconut sugar and whip with beaters until thick.
- Ensure cake is completely cooled before icing.
