What type of exercise do you do? Do you have any favourite workouts or gyms?

My go to gym is definitely Jetts. I try and go to as many of the boot camps, boxing classes and other classes they offer to gym members a week.

I love working out with a group of motivated people as I believe it helps me push myself towards a better outcome, as we’re all encouraging each other and working towards similar goals.

How many times per week do you workout?

I try and workout at least 3-4 times a week, and 20 minutes of cardio a day.

If I miss a session with Jetts, I do at home workouts with resistance bands.

I try to keep an active lifestyle as I believe it isn’t just healthy for the body, but for the mind also.

Being a model, I’m sure you need to be in shape all year round. But if you ever have to be in a bikini or lingerie for a shoot, do you do anything special before to look your best?

If I have time the morning before a bikini or lingerie shoot I try and fit in a 30minute cardio session.

This could be anything from running or just a walk around the neighbourhood.

I always wake up that little bit earlier so I can make a healthier breakfast, for example, smoothies, eggs or something high in protein.

What does your average day on a plate look like? Do you stick to any particular diet?

I do believe that breakfast is the most important meal of the day so I always try and make that the biggest meal of the day, so then I feel refreshed throughout the entire day.

For lunch, I generally stick to some fruit, and for dinners, I never really have the same thing twice in one week.

I wouldn’t say I stick to a particular diet, but my main goal is to just eat as healthy as possible and drink plenty of water.

Do you ever have cheat meals? If so, what’s your favourite food to indulge in?

I am a massive fan of Italian food and pancakes!

Whenever sneaky cheat days happen you’ll catch me eating all different kinds of pasta and loading up pancakes with cream and jam.

How do you stay motivated to workout and eat healthy?

I would say my biggest motivation is just wanting to make myself happy.

Working out in the mornings puts me in the right state of mind to take on the day and I always feel more refreshed.

I was bullied during high school so I really threw myself into working out as it was basically my escape and my way of proving to myself that I can do anything I put my mind to.

What’s your number 1 fitness tip for other young women out there?

My number 1 tip would be to definitely give it your all.

I find working out in the mornings rather than in the afternoon makes you feel better during the day, you just have to really push yourself to get up that little bit earlier to fit it in.

Definitely make a routine and stick to it, once you break your routine it’s harder to get back into it.

So, there you have it, my lovelies, model workout and diet tips by Cate Collins. If you want to see more of her fitness and health routine, you can follow her on Instagram.
