I see lots of people dedicated to health and fitness, working out super hard in the gym and not getting results. And then I see those who don’t seem to put in as much hard work and yet reap the benefits. So why do some people have great success while other people fail? Yes it comes down to a great diet and workout regime, but you can’t succeed without these three things.


Getting healthy isn’t a quick fix or an 8 week journey. It’s LONG-TERM. People often ask me “what’s the most amount of weight they can lose in a certain amount of time, or the best workouts and diet to lose weight in a short period.” These people probably won’t be consistent over the long term.

You need to know that just getting started is the probably the very best step you will ever take. Don’t make a million changes all at once and expect to drop 5kgs in a month. Stick to it for months on end until it becomes your lifestyle and never look back. This is how you will have long term success.

Learning From Your Mistakes

You are going to go backwards at some stage. Everyone does. It’s just human nature. And it’s not a bad thing! The important thing is to realize this, and learn from it so you don’t keep repeating the same mistakes.

Nobody is perfect so don’t get down on yourself when this happens to you. Don’t assume that it’s impossible. Have you heard the saying “insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results”? If it’s not working, try something different.

Yup this one is tough. Those who are mentally ready to actually put in the hard work over the long term and accept that it’s going to take time and that there will be failures, will have the greatest success. No complaints. No excuses. No feeling sorry for themselves. Just hard work and results.
