The Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show is coming up and I have been seeing lots of posts on Instagram about the models getting ready. I’m always interested to know how they train to get their lean and toned bodies, and where they workout. So I have really just summarized what I have seen on their social media about where the Victoria’s Secret models workout.
Last year I did some research and did a blog series on the VS workouts and nutrition so have a read of these blog posts too!
Oh and I should mention that all of these gyms are in NYC, but some of them do have other locations.
ModelFit
A very popular place for the Victoria’s Secret models. This gym has classes that focus on getting lean and toned, using very high rep, super light dumbbells, resistance bands, sliders, slant boards, ankle weights and different styles of workouts. Have a look at this video from one of the trainers to get an idea (click the image).
Dogpound
This is a boxing gym and the models do boxing sessions here. But they also do other workouts using the bosu ball, light weights and body weight exercises.
Check out this workout video for some motivation and ideas! (click the image)
Also, I’ve never done this but I see lots of the models doing it at Dogpound. It looks like fun! Click the image to see the video.
SLT
SLT stands for Strengthen, Lengthen, Tone. All of these workouts are done on a megaformer. It is like reformer pilates but next level. I tried this class when I was in NYC and LOVED it! It was so much harder than I was expecting.
Have a look at this workout video (click the image).
Body By Simone
The workouts here always look super fun! They do dance cardio, trampoline, and also lighter resistance style classes that focus on hips, thighs and butt and full body sculpting.
Check out some of these dance moves! (click the image)
Bodies By P
This gym was opened up by a previous owner of ModelFit so the workouts are very similar. I tried this one out when I was in NYC and also loved it! I did the entire workout with light ankle weights and we used the bosu ball, step, sliders and resistance bands. The workout style is very different and the exercises are slow and controlled, focusing more on high rep and using the right muscles.

Gotham Gym
This is a boxing gym where all the models work out. Check out this video of Gigi Hadid kicking butt!
And if you want to get a body like the Victoria’s Secret models, now you can! I’ve created a 5-day video course which will help you achieve that model like body. All 5 workout videos are completely free and you can download them below :)

Hi Rachel, would like to know how you feel about the pilates pro chair. Good workout for creating lean muscle tone or will it cause bulking? Thanks in advance for replying! Gabriela
Hi lovely, I actually didn’t know what it was so I had to google it haha. I think it should mostly be fine! But it just depends what type of workouts you do on it… xx
You really need to mention the Tracy Anderson Method, which really is the original (I’d actually love to read a post on why you think TA works so incredibly well for super bulkers). Also, Dance Body is awesome. Would love a post on the best of the best of the dance-inspired workouts, and why they work. xoxo
Love your blog, it is FABULOUS.
Hi lovely, I haven’t done the Tracy Anderson method or know much about it so can’t really comment. But thank you for the input! xx
